The insight into Wisdom in Leadership is neither a replicate of a military leader nor a sports leader nor a leader of any religious faith or a leading art. Let me explain.
The insight is based on verifiable real-life qualitative subjective observations and experiences, rather than a theory or logic objective measurable quantitative events.
The insight is based in the practice of management and leadership in challenging business situations. Furthermore, the insight originates from one to one dialog’s with more than 20.000 leaders during the last 40 years, as an advisor for Boards and CEOs, during executive workshops, and as a leadership trainer for countless for-profit companies – globally.
My judgment reveals that wisdom in leadership only can be founded on two simultaneous concepts to fit into the evolution of man:
- Progress and opportunities have to be of existential relevance for humans.
- And must add financial value to the business.
The consequence of that is; what the executive pursues, have to increase the wellbeing for all stakeholders and add sufficient financial value to ensure the longevity of the company in all perpetuity.
